Alex and Pete married at St Pauls Church in Whitley Bay then whizzed over to the Close House Country Club for their wedding reception.
Close House Country club, the wedding of Alex Watson and Pete Jeffrey

Time rushes past in its usual fashion and Alex descends the stairs.
assisted by a bridesmaid
a bridesmaid who also manages to combine drinking with helping !
well done girls - multitasking again !!
Alex in a quiet moment, sipping champagne in a quiet moment

The quiet moments soon come to an end
time no longer stands still
one highly polished car whizzes toward the church.
containing Alex and her brother Guy.
(the car that is, not the church - they aren't in it yet, silly.
the miniature feller
perched on the car bonnet is a replica
cameraman.
hah - he's not on the bonnet

Pete takes a sip and Alex smiles.
no she doesn't - she flipping well beams at him
oh - the picture
above . . .
well, it's simple really.
the way that
Pete gently holds Alex's hand simply says it all.
serious wedding things happening here.
vows rings n stuff.

Peteis holding tightly onto Alex's hand
the man can't stop smiling !
well . . .do you blame him ?
what a lucky guy.

Pete takes advantage of a kissing opportunity

music maestro. I sneak up on the organist and zap him.
I don't think he noticed either !
hah
Alex in a rather Hollywood dress and wrap
(is it a wrap - gawd - there's probably a technical term for it,
furry thing, glam furry thing, soft fluffy glam . ..
flippin 'eck.
wrap.
anyhow -she's putting on some jewellery and the light has caught her rather nicely.

Above, the register is signed
and to the left, Alex's brother Guy sings for everyone.
he was pretty darned magnificent.
the camera in the
middle of the picture was nothing to do with me,
I tend to sneak about & sneakily take pictures from hidden corners etc.
video often has
a different approach
and may sometimes be quite visible.
however - this
particular cameraman
was a gentleman - and a pleasure to work with.

Above and inside the church door is a really unusual sign
you can see it above Alex and Petes heads.
it says
'all seats in this church are free'.
I just thought you'd like to know that,
err . . useless information . .
I know.
.

Mucho hapinesso
(see - I can speak foreign)
two very happy
people
hop across to the waiting car

An island of calm exists at Close House.
the picture gives us another one of those rather lovely frozen moments.
the light was nice.
there were spots of rain outside . . .
who cares . . .

Above, those helpful bridesmaids
(they really were .. honest !)

Alex and Pete enter the dining room
everyone stands and applauds - as is the custom.
you can see the happiness on everyones faces

Another frozen moment >>
time standing still
amid the chaos
of a dance floor,
moving figures
blur
as each follow their own path.
but our couple stood still. . .
not for long.
just for a moment.
but that's all it took
the moment is frozen.
Orchids made up Alex's bouquet, white ones.
four other bouquets lurked in the house
yellow ones.
hah - a simple colour code - even I could understand it.
white orchids for the bride, yellow for the bridesmaids.
that should reduce confusion a bit.
A very very nice . . . . . .
actually a tremendously nice . . . .
no . . a bloody good feller.
yep, the feller dressed in white, it's the vicar.
his friendly smile and helpful attitude went a long way toward making the service a real pleasure.
no caption needed for the pictures to the left.
so what the heck
am I writing one for then ?
doh !
A madman almost falls off the church wall.
guests fling confetti about
shoppers on the other side of the street stand and stare.
the image is a frozen moment in time . . .
rather a nice one too !
two ushers are located doing odd things to chairs in the dining room
hah - the maniac with the camera finds them.
I nobble Alex and Pete for a few moments
but they immediately get distracted by a glimpse of their room through the window.
I clamp the camera to the window to see what they're glimpsing >>
bunch of friends
very happy ones ! >>>>
long story.
well - not that long.
err . think STAG WEEKEND
bunch of guys went to Rome,
wandered about
dressed as Gladiators
wearing massive comedy ears . . . .
and hidden under each seat
was photographic evidence !
hah - that's what the guys were doing earlier on when I caught them.
I don't know if you can make out the picture to the left - but it shows Pete dressed as a gladiator
in front of the Collosseum - yep - wearing those ears !
Gawd knows what the Italians made of it.
fleeping eengleesh . . .
Above is a close up from the image to the right.
(does that make sense ?)
anyhow - it's a detail - bunch of friends basically. ..
A couple runs to 3 or 4. .
heck - who's counting.
they look rather good don't they !
(I'm talking about Alex and Pete )
the pictures aren't too bad either.
to the left - a sax player (and several others)
provide music for the dance.
I'm sure that Alex and Pete said they weren't dancers.
It all looked pretty darned effective from where I was perched.
So . .. we get a coulpe
flipping typing finger. drat. . darnit etc etc
couple was the word.
where was I . . ?
we get a couple of pictures showing Alex and Pete..
