This is just a tiny little eensie weensie taste of this lovely wedding.
(hundreds of pictures produced - only a few shown here !)
The marriage of Lucy and Paul at Langley Castle, Northumberland

Bridesmaid in full bridal regalia posing elegantly in front of a 14th century Border castle.
Well - sort of . . .
so cool - you'd think she did this sort of thing every week.
kids are really good at this sort of stress free approach to life.
Another bridesmaid receiving important attention to her fingernails from Grandma - as Grandpa looks on.
This picture was taken in one of the suites within Langley Castle.

Hah - everyone follows the photographer to a place where a picture is to be made. I've occasionally thought that I could have immense fun with this sort of scenario - pied piper like - leading the children of Hamelin all over the castle - until someone finds out that I'm only having fun.
I think at the point where it is discovered that we're going nowhere - I'd probably be beaten senseless by a bridal bouquet.

An alternative to the pied piper of Hamelin idea is to actually take the pictures as planned.
maybe one day !.

no further comment required for this one.

Ah so my friends, for you the picture taking is over. Showers dodged - another fresh shower - complete with rainbow, waiting in the wings as we re enter the castle - immaculate timing !
The threat of bad weather didn't spoil things.
Photo timings for this wedding :
formal photographs - 20 mins.
informal photographs - 20 mins.
Pictures taken on schedule - I think !

The drawing room at Langley - an intimate and very civilised place for guests to assemble prior to trooping up to the dining room for the Wedding Breakfast.
The Langley Castle staff got top marks from me - they were very polite and helpful - unobtrusive but there when needed!.

I persuade Lucy and Paul to allow me to take one final picture.

I persuade a table decoration to allow me to take one final picture.
At this wedding, I took a couple of hundred pictures - for sake of brevity, only a few are shown here.
Lucy and Pauls priority seemed to be to enjoy the day - and who could blame them !
