O.K. guys n gals,

Lynsey and Alan were married in Seaham,
Lynsey had this mad scheme involving a fairground carousel.

She hit me with the plan 36 hours before the wedding.

I said, is it all organised then ?

she said . . . . . .errr . . . not really,

we're going to ring them tomorrow to see if we can go and use it . . .

the wedding day came . . I was really curious to see how this would work out.

the end result of all that planning (sorry . . . had to get that dig in there . . 36 hrs aint exactly planning ahead !)

start again . . the end result of the plans involved Lynsey and Alan commandeering a Fairground Carousel,
(who cares about the queue of waiting kids . . they can do this too when they grow up . . !)

Lynsey grinned from ear to ear for most of the ride,

it was such good fun that we persuaded the man to give it another twirl just for luck

probably to the annoyance of a dozen 6 year olds and their mums. . . . who cares . . this is grown up stuff . . .

I'm totally at a loss to work out which of these 2 pictures I prefer.

I'll explain . . I like the tilt on the top picture, the carousel completes its shape in the back of the vintage car - the couple are reflected in the highly polished car surface . .

BUT the reflection in the picture above is much nicer and more completee.

the back of the car isn't recognisable as a car though

(not sure if it is in the top one either for that matter).

but I like that reflection . . . . oh choices choices.

I'll leave it up to Lynsey and Alan to decide which one they like (if any !)

Lynsey looking very determined here

probably building up some speed .

Gee up there . . gooaannn , whoah. hhyup theaaagh

(those are the noises I've heard people with horses making . . )

I dunno what they mean though.

in truth, horses probably havent got a clue what the noises mean either .

Hah. I get to ride on this darned thing.

but I have to face backwards.

this shot taken whilst spinning/gyrating/rotating etc

and manically trying to capitalise on the 10 seconds that the groom faced forwards instead of chatting to the best man on the horse behind.

best man . . . that's another story. . . this guy was SUCH a best man

.. . gosh I've started now, so I suppose I should finish. . .

but heck. it might embarrass him. . . .

but you REALLY want to know now, don't you . . ..

OK. so, well, err.

so - you're the bride, and, like this best man is err

. . . .20 minutes late at the church.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT . . .

no there wasn't blood everywhere,

Lynsey was the most patient and smiling bride imaginable,
most girls would have flipped their lids.

she simply smiled and waited for him.

best man . . .

he was a really nice guy though.
