Lilies laid on
a slate grey bench
softly catching the light.
oh it's all poetic . .
don't be silly - they're on the edge of a box thingymajig in the hallway of one of the guest suites at Lumley.
orders of service on chairs.
hey . I'm getting really inventive with titles for pictures here . .

We explore everywhere,
hey - that looks pretty - so does Emma . .
stand over there a minnit . . .
errrm heck, can't see camera in the dark . . .
fumble fumble . click.
(why is it dark you ask . .
it's a castle, silly . .
<< Emma looking like a goddess

Lumley Castle, Chester le Street, was the venue that Chris and Emma chose for their wedding.
Oh heck,
it's raining outside, so we need to take pictures indoors.
this doorway is conveniently indoors . .
(hah - it opens into a vaulted area)
the weather and an awful registrar won't stop us from getting some pictures to remember.
Chris n Emma deserve
it,
they're absolutely lovely people.
OK then. where can we go that isn't raining . .
err . . inside seems a safe bet.
as the guests mingle
and chatter upstairs,
we hop around the building making pictures for a little while.

Anyhow - wedding
over
we move on, lots of lovely chocs and drinkies await the guests . .
I'm pulling out
every trick in the book
to get some pictures here
as the weather certainly isn't helping,
I try anything that might work.
to the left, Chris
is watching Emma in a mirror,
being watched by a camera . .
The room laid out for the feast . .
you will note it's the same room where the wedding took place,
the plant on the
left in the corner
curiously sprouted a camera
and started taking pictures as the bride and groom entered . . .
however, curtain
cam on the other side of the room
got some
pictures of the speeches,
(and a couple of giggles from a guest or two who noticed it)
anyhow - hiding
in the corner
meant that I wasn't disrupting anything.
I like to hide
a bit sometimes,
then folks get to look at the bride n groom -
not the guy with the camera.
Its a cake you dope.
I suppose you haven't seen a cake before . . .
After the meal,
gentlemen retired upstairs to the billiard room
where a definitely male atmosphere prevailed.
speaking of atmospheres
. . I've been told that this part of the castle is haunted,
even been told by amazed guests that they've just seen someone walk into a
wall.
However . . it could be the alcohol.
I've been drunk and walked into a wall before.
and tried to open a door and walk through it before it's actually open.
I'm sure we've all been there . . .
Emma has an idea,
what if we try
to use the candles
to light her and then take a picture.
OK. . I'm game for anything.

Chris n Emma had a wonderful day at Lumley Castle.
the weather didn't
spoil a thing,
she was an absolute princess.
I should say something
flattering about Chris too,
but that wouldn't be manly.
you'd then think I was gay or something
oops. . nothing
wrong with gay .
some of my
best friends are gay,
anyhow - err. men flattering. blokes . .
sorry. I don't do it.
'you look ok mate'
is about as far as I go in that department.
Anyway - for the
record -
Chris was a total gent,
a nice guy if there ever was one !
formal announcement
RAIN STOPPED . yippee !
but Chris n Emma are now mingling with guests . . and it's almost time for the meal,
quick - grab 'em
- dash outside,
quickly take a couple of pictures on wet tarmac,
then spots of rain start to fall again . . .
then dash inside again for the wedding breakfast.
WOW - WOTSAT ?
