Natalie, a delightful Irish Girl,
(she zipped off to Ireland immediately after this picture was taken)
Natalie
simply wanted a few pictures to build up a folio,
some were simply 'head shots',
and a few were 'figure shots'
oddly enough - I think that you'd call this image a figure picture,
the lighting is quite simple,
the objective
being to show that Natalie has a good figure,
and to look 'sexy' without showing 'too much'.
I think it has worked,
Natalie liked the picture, that's the most important thing anyway.

Aha. we play with lights . . .
that's one huge advantage of having a studio.
no matter what the weather - we can still take pictures !
oddly
enough,
when I first became very serious about photography,
I made the decision that I wanted to learn as much as I could about light.
(light being the thing that makes the picture you understand . . )
In our country - it's either too dark, too wet, too windy, or just plain awful weather - at just the time you want to take a picture.
winter evenings out of doors are a bit of a no no.
so a studio wast the obvious decision.
I haven't looked back since.
I've learned
a heck of a lot about what light can and can't do,
just by studying the effects of the studio lighting.
It's fun too.
(well - I like it)..

I also get the opportunity to be creative with light.
this lady
is 21 and for her birthday,
her feller treated her to a studio session.
